A family history
Keen on gastronomy, architecture and art history, Cathy will be delighted to share her knowledge of the area with you.
Frédéric is a free-lance graphic designer, author and illustrator of children’s books and would be happy to show and discuss his work with you.
The mas (farmhouse) was built by our family in the first part of the nineteenth century. The building was firstly used for silkworm breeding (magnanerie) and then as accommodation for seasonal workers. It presents all of the characteristics of local traditional architecture: simple spaces, stone walls and brick frames.
To renovate our building we chose to work with the architect Isabelle Berthet Bondet from the Architecture Nature agency.
Isabelle’s priority was to open the gîtes up onto the orchard and the surrounding field.
Large bay windows offer a wide view onto the surrounding natural environment.
The accommodation has been designed in order to ensure intimacy and privacy.
